Cassandra had been pacing her room for almost an hour, checking her phone every few minutes.

She had expected a message from the maid by now that Leona wanted to see her.

Either that or a tap on the door.

Or maybe a whisper.

Something.

Anything at all, but the longer she waited, there was nothing.

No update. There was no complaint from the maid that she was needed downstairs by Leona’s companions.
