I woke up to the sound of shuffling and quiet voices, the room was brighter than usual, the curtains pulled open for a second, I was confused.

Did I oversleep? Or what?

My eyes moved to the bunch of maids in my room, some of them was taking dresses out of my closet and carefully and heading out with them, with the others gathering my perfume bottles and lotions from the bathroom counter.

My heart skipped .

What was happening? Was I missing something?
