“What?” My voice cracked before I could stop it.

Luther’s stare never moved. The room was too small for his presence, too suffocating. He leaned forward on the edge of the exam bed, as if his words alone could cage me tighter than the four walls already had.

“So for your safety,” he said slowly, each word deliberate, “I’ll suggest you stop acting like an Omega and start acting like the mother of an Alpha wolf heir.”
