I finally dragged myself off the floor and changed into actual clothes- soft leggings and a tank top because his giant shirt was doing way too much to my nervous system.

A maid knocked maybe ten minutes later, wheeling in a little silver cart that smelled like garlic bread and heaven.

Roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, some fancy green beans with almonds. Dessert was chocolate mousse that looked illegal.

I thanked her, locked the door again, and sat cross-legged on the bed ...
