Chapter 06: Escaped

It was another day in Rhombus City, the day was bright and the sun was already looming above the earth.

The rays of the sunlights peek through the blinds, lightening up the room, Isolda stretched in bed, feeling the softness of the bed.

"It feels so good to be rich".

She giggled and got out of bed. She entered the bathroom to freshen up but she couldn't use Inola's toothbrush.

She groaned and simply cleaned her mouth with the paste and took her bath. She walked into Inola's closet and was marvelled at the items arranged there.

Inola might have expensive and beautiful items but she never wore most of them as she found no joy in wearing them.

She wore a nice blue gown, giggling as she walked out of the closet.

"Moneyyyyyyy!!!"

She screamed, slumping on the bed.

Shortly after, she heard the fiddling of keys and quickly pretended to be sad.

Last night, she pieced everything together and realized Inola didn't agree to the marriage.

She also had to pretend or she would blow her cover.

Mr Tornese walked in wearing his angry face as usual.

She didn't bulge.

"I will only ask you one last time, will you accept the marriage or not?"

She sat up and he raised a brow.

She arranged her dress before speaking up with a hint of displeasure, "I have thought about it, I accept the marriage".

Her voice trembled as she spoke but her heart carried different emotions.

He froze!

He was shocked to the core!

Amidst shock, happiness was bubbling in him.

That means more money for him!

He gave her a long glare, not noticing anything different in her.

He finally spoke up, "Come with me".

He left the room and she followed behind.

They arrived at his study and he brought out a file amidst a huge stack of files.

"Sign it".

She looked at it and was forced to ask, "What do you gain from this marriage?"

He hissed in anger, "None of your business! You are jeopardizing my money if you don't sign it, don't make me lose my temper".

She swallowed and looked up confidently, "I won't sign it until I see him".

She spoke with so much courage and that drove him insane.

What kind of demand is that?

She just wanted to know if she would be getting married to a normal human or an imbecile.

If Inola was bent on not getting married to him, there must be a reason for it.

His chest rose and fell in anger, his voice loud and stern, "Are you out of your mind? If you don't sign this, you are not setting your eyes on him and you won't like what is coming for you".

She said nothing and stared at the contract, still insisting on not signing it.

He let out an evil chuckle, walking round the table. He got to her side, grabbed her hair forcefully, holding her chin.

She winced in pain.

He groaned in anger, "I will not have you disobey my orders after spending so much on you!!!!"

She struggled to free her hair from his firm grip.

He grabbed her neck tight, slapping her twice.

Still holding her neck firmly, he smirked, "You have one last option, sign it or you die".

Her legs became jelly.

She ran from death and now she has to accept her fate or death would claim her.

She couldn't talk, she was almost out of breath.

She pointed at the file, shaking her head vigorously.

"Very well".

He released her neck aggressively, making her fall, she coughed, rubbing her already red neck.

She signed the contract and a wicked smirk crept to his face.

*

Inola stirred in her sleep, the rays hitting her face, she squinted before finally opening them. The memories of last night flooded her thoughts and a tear dropped from her eyes.

She sat up, clenching the duvet tight like someone was about to take it from her.

Tears streamed down her face, her hair in a mess. She finally wiped them off and stood to her feet, wrapping the duvet around her.

He shredded her lingerie last night and she was too weak to move a muscle to search for something to put on.

She limped to the wardrobe and she found her clothes there, the one she was putting on before it was removed.

She limped to the bathroom to have a quick bath and just rinsed her mouth. She didn't know who owned the brush in the bathroom, so she didn't bother using it.

Her core was sore and that affected her legs. She searched the room for a balm to apply, pulled open the drawer and found some pills in it.

A painkiller and a contraceptive!

Of course! She knew what they work for and she was more triggered to take the contraceptive because she doesn't want to get pregnant for such a ruthless person.

She found water in a jar and hurriedly used both and sighed softly, "This person is so thoughtful".

She had barely settled in her bed when she heard a fierce knock on the door that startled her.

She took in a deep breath before ushering the person in.

Two hefty men walked in looking fierce and stern, she recognized one of them.

Sophus!

She doesn't know his name but he was present on the day she was captured. That alone instilled fear in her as she gulped down nothing.

"You are being summoned by the boss".

Sophus said and she felt her heart thump.

He is going to be brutal to her again?

What was in store for her?

She then mustered courage, stood to her feet and went with them.

They had barely taken a few steps when she slumped, her head hitting the floor, she laid there groaning in pain.

The two of them stood still, staring at her without moving a muscle.

Max, the second guy asked, "What should we do?"

"She will get up, this is minor". Sophus replied and walked over, giving her a dull expression.

"You have 3 seconds to get up or your head will roll". Sophus threatened and as expected, she slowly stood up, not minding the pain.

The fall was accidental and she didn't want to die, she pushed aside the pains and stood to her feet while the journey continued.

As they took several turns, she admired the interior she didn't get to see when they brought her in and she could say the exclusive decor was a 100 times better than the one she lives in.

She still didn't know why she was captured and not Isolda.

She didn't know her purpose here yet she was brought into this luxurious villa with her virginity taken by force.

They finally arrived at the pool where he lounged quietly, smoking heavily. The pool screamed luxury as it was wide enough to take 30 people and if not more, the sun shining directly on it made the view more mesmerizing.

On the left side of the pool was a large walkway with white couches, perfect for relaxing, by the extreme end is a door that leads to where she has no idea.

She paused on her tracks when she saw him, panic washing over her.

Was he going to take her there?

She shivered at the thought of that like she was being poured a bucket of cold water. She eventually mustered courage and walked over, her eyes piercing the floor.

Sophus bowed slightly before speaking up, "Don Greco, she is here".

He didn't answer immediately, he smoked the cigarette and reached out to pick up another one but paused.

He relaxed on the chair before turning to look at her, he paused for a while, staring at her, his expression unreadable.

She felt his eyes in her and she dared not to look up, she swallowed hard as she fiddled with her dress.

He tore his gaze from her and made a signal to Sophus. Sophus stepped aside to make a call.

Inola Tornese's core was still throbbing and her legs felt a little jelly compared to last night. It was tiring to stand there without him saying a word.

A few minutes later, a man was dragged in mercilessly and she was taken aback.

What is going on?

Don Greco smirked as he stared at the man emotionlessly.

"Please, forgive me. I would never do such a thing again". The man pleaded, sweat dripping down his face.

Don Greco crossed his legs and asked, "What was your offence?"

"I broke your rules, I disobeyed you and I deserve to be punished. Please, just one last chance and I will never go against your will". He pleaded in tears.

"I don't forgive, I eliminate!"

Inola Tornese froze!

It was like she heard the wrong thing!

Did he bring her here to eliminate her too?

She panicked as she began to plan her escape, she was really skilled at running and it was one of her hidden talents.

There are times where her photography walk had made her run and she had to use her talent to avoid angry citizens that didn't want to be captured by her.

Don Greco stretched his hand and a gun was placed respectfully on his palm, he cocked it in no time.

Click!

"Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!!!!!"

He fired a shot straight into his head and he dropped dead, his blood flowing into the pool, Inola's screams piercing the silence that followed.

Don Greco smirked and returned the gun, he rubbed his chin and turned to Inola but she wasn't there.

Confusion was clearly written on their faces as they were all focused on the executi

on before them and paid no attention to her.

Don Greco remained calm and ordered, "Find her!".

His subordinates immediately took to their heels to search for her.
