Chapter 07: Freedom denial

Inola Tornese ran as fast as her legs could carry her, ignoring the pains she was feeling. She didn't know where she was going but she kept running.

After the gun sounded, she screamed and realized they were not paying her any attention. Thinking, they were going to kill her like they killed that man.

She quietly slipped away, taking to her heels. The villa was so big that she felt lost at some point but she kept running, bumping into everyone she came across.

She finally got outside where she could see the gate and finally smiled in relief.

She had barely taken four steps when she heard a voice that shattered all her expectations.

"If you take any step further, you will regret it".

Sophus' voice rang out pointing a gun at her as he moved closer to her. She froze when she felt the metal on her head, her hands hanging in the air.

Sophus smirked and crocked the gun, a loud gasp escaped her lips.

"Turn around and move!".

She silently obeyed and did as she was told, walking back into the house.

She was baffled!

It took her a long time to arrive at that place and it seems they were ahead of her.

Who are these people and what do they do?

She took slow strides back to the pool with the gun still touching her head. She was shivering but decided to act strong as she already has another plan in mind.

She was forced to kneel in front of him and she was stunned for a minute.

He didn't move an inch from his chair!

Was he really certain his men would stop her?

Still, she brushed it off and remained put, not sparing him a glance.

He made a signal and Sophus kept his gun, taking a few steps backwards.

Don Greco sat up, gripping her chin roughly, she winched and gave him a hard glare.

"Trying to run was your greatest mistake and I.....".

She spat on his face!

Everyone froze!

Nobody has ever humiliated him!

Out of anger and hatred, she voiced out, "What do you want from me? Why are you keeping me here? Why do you want to kill me? I have told you I'm innocent of the claim charged against me! I didn't loan any money from you!!!!! Don't you get it? Yet you took my virginity forcefully and now you want to kill me!!!".

Her voice was sharp and loud as she ranted out her dissatisfaction, tears spilling from her eyes.

For a minute, you could hear a pin drop at that point because no one said anything, he quietly wiped the spot she spat on.

First, he was humiliated!

Secondly, she raised her voice at him!

Who dares to do such?

Also, he had no plans to kill her at all because she was already his possession, killing her will not benefit him.

Sophus took the initiative to speak up but Don Greco stopped him. He stood up and yanked her hair roughly, anger visible on his face.

He planned to make her choose but now he has no choice than to treat her like others.

Inola Tornese let out a loud scream, "Let me go!!!!".

Her hands trying to yank his forceful grip on her hair off, his other hands were able to clip her hands behind, pinning her to the couch.

His subordinates immediately turned to look away, staring at the boss's woman is a sin that requires a severe punishment.

He released her hair, holding her to look at him as he held down her chin.

Don Greco smirked darkly, the hand in her chin slowly going down while he spoke coldly, "What you witnessed is the price for disobedience and many more".

He paused and found her glaring at her, he ignited her and his hand finally groped her right chest and she gasped.

He leaned closer and whispered in her ears, "You have broken my rule, you loaned from me and don't you think you deserve to die?".

His voice dripped with ruthlessness.

She shivered slightly as she thought he was really going to kill her!

She began to rack her head for a new plan to be free from his grip but she couldn't come up with any.

His subordinates are present which would increase her chances of getting killed gruesomely.

Don Greco requested for a gun and Sophus handed him one, air stopped passing through her nostrils, her brain refused to process anything as she shut her eyes tight.

He was really going to kill her!

He crocked the gun but no sound came!

He wasn't willing to kill her because she was already his possession.

Don Greco took in a deep breath, his breath fanning her neck while she felt something stir in her, her cheeks burning red.

He then spoke softly into her ears as his hand trailed down to her core, rubbing it gently,"I have claimed you, you are now my possession, you will repay your debt with your body and I will eliminate anyone that touches what is mine".

She was stunned at what he said, he wasn't going to kill her because she was already his?

What does he mean by repaying the debt with her body?

Is he insane?

She tried to move but his body pressed against hers, restricted from making any move.

She then decided to plead, hoping he would listen, "Please, just let me go, I promise to pay the debt and never bother you again".

Don Greco chuckled darkly at her please and stood up, his hands tucked in his pocket before responding, "Your freedom is mine and you only go where I ask you to go. You traded your freedom the day you loaned from me!".

Inola Tornese was taken aback by his words, she scanned him from head to toe and tears strolled down her face.

What kind of cruel fate is this?

Growing up, she never had the freedom to do what she likes and now, her freedom is being denied by a crime she didn't commit!

She knew there was no way he would let her go but what baffles her was that Isolda claimed Mr Philly died because she couldn't pay his bills.

Isolda didn't lend the money right?

She was more than convinced they got the wrong person but what could she do?

Nothing!

"You can walk freely within this villa but there are restrictions! There are places you must never walk into or you will pay the consequences of being disobedient. Sophus will show you around". Don Greco rounded up and left without looking back.

Sophus took the initiative and turned to her, "Young lady, this way".

Sophus spoke with respect, in as much as she was just a toy, still he wouldn't want to disrespect the boss's woman!

Sophus and one other subordinate walked her round the house and she was genuinely marveled, so many rooms, the exclusive living room that screamed wealth!!

Then the spacious compound with a fountain in the middle with no cars in sight, then to the exclusive game room, well designed lounge that is perfect for relaxation with a nice view of the pool. Then a large quarter at the back of the house where his men and maids lived, then to the gym room that has so many gym tools where his men also has access to, then the spacious kitchen that sparkled and looked so spotless with a warm glow, the maids clean the kitchen every hour because their boss is a neat freak and lot more

They finally arrived at a door and she was eager to know what was behind the door. She waited for them to open it but no one moved and she frowned.

"Can we ..."

Sophus interrupted her immediately, "you are not allowed to go in there".

She frowned, looking confused.

"What did you mean?"

Sophus repeated what he said, "I'm sure you wouldn't want to know what is in there because it's not something you can handle. The door is not locked but if you twist the nob, you have opened the door for death".

Inola Tornese was taken aback and she felt he was just threatening her not to open it, his statement scared her a bit but it also piqued her curiosity. She is determined to know what is in the room.

She nodded her head gently as they turned to the left and walked straight down.

Where were they going again?

Indeed, the view was great but she was already tired from the constant turns and talks.

They finally arrived at a staircase and immediately started to walk down but Sophus pulled her back.

"You are not allowed to walk down the stairs or your legs will be chopped off!".

She froze, hugging herself tight.

It was quite dark down there and she wondered what was there but she dared not to go since she didn't want her legs to be chopped off.

Sophus turned to look at her, "Don't disobey the boss and you will be fine. You may return to your room".

She turned and started walking away, her mind in c

haos.

Roses are not always red, she has the freedom to walk around and yet she doesn't have her freedom!
