I am frozen in place, Vanessa’s hand looped in mine as I watch River walk away with Caleb chasing after her. 

I want to chase after her and explain it all, but the haunting voice of my father keeps me in place. Vanessa leans into my side, and it snaps me out of the daze I was in and pops me back to the reality of the cameraman assigned to follow us for the rest of the day.
