I had expected Kian to win, but pulling off the whip move was kind of unexpected.

“Your boyfriend outdid us,” my grandma said with a smile. She looked relieved and proud, too. You would think it was her child who won.

“I’m happy that Freya has someone to protect her, but don’t forget that she will always be the heir to the clan, and there are certain duties and responsibilities she carries on her shoulders.”
