Sam stole a car that had been planted by the police along the street and headed back to the pool hall. The fire company had been called by neighbors and had cooled off the car and any remaining pieces of car lying about. He parked his newly possessed car and started picking up the pieces of the burned car and putting it into the body of what was left of the crispy metal that had belonged to Lisa.
