"We move carefully," Elena says. "Gather evidence against the compromised members. Build cases that will stick, then we purge them simultaneously before they can warn each other."

"That's risky," I point out. "If word gets out, they'll scatter."

"That's why secrecy is critical," Elena emphasizes. "Only people we absolutely trust can know. You, Timothy, myself, maybe two others maximum."
