Timothy's POV:

The nightmares started three weeks ago. Dreams where Kael runs through endless forests, hunting for something I refuse to name. Tonight I woke up shifted in my bed, claws shredding thousand-dollar sheets, amber eyes reflecting in the mirror.

I stumble to the bathroom and splash cold water on my face. My hands are still partially shifted, claws slowly pulling back into regular fingernails. It takes five minutes before they look normal again.
