"Can we prove it?" I ask.

"Maybe," Timothy says. "If we can get him to flip, to testify against my father."

"He won't," I say. "Your father's people are too loyal or too scared."

"Worth a try," Timothy says. He forwards the video to Elena.

My phone buzzes. It's a text from an unknown number: Stop helping him or you're next.

I show Timothy as his face goes dark.
