I wake up to the sound of arguing.

My eyes don't want to open. My body feels like it weighs a thousand pounds. But the voices are loud enough to drag me back to consciousness.

"She can't stay here indefinitely." That's Sophia's voice. Sharp and angry. "I'm still his wife."

"A wife he never wanted." Selene sounds furious. "A marriage you both agreed to dissolve."
