Penelope's POV

The cabin is quiet when I wake up. Timothy's side of the bed is cold.

I find him outside, sitting on the porch steps in just his sweatpants. The sun isn't up yet, but the sky is starting to lighten at the edges.

"Couldn't sleep?" I ask.

He doesn't turn around. "Didn't want to wake you."

I sit down next to him and pull the blanket I brought around both our shoulders. "What time is it?"

"Four thirty." Timothy leans into me slightly. "Challenge is at noon."
