Penelope's POV

The call comes at two in the morning. I'm already awake, checking security reports from last night's raid. Timothy is finally sleeping after forty-eight hours straight.

"Luna," the voice says urgently. "It's Officer Davis from your parents' security detail, there’s been an incident."

My heart stops. "What kind of incident?"

"Attack on the residence," Davis reports. "Three armed intruders. We are engaged but your parents are safe but shaken."
