Penelope's POV

I wake up to find Timothy already gone from bed.

Again.

I check the clock. Five thirty in the morning. He's been doing this for three days now, ever since he became Alpha.

I find him in the cabin's small office, surrounded by papers. He's wearing reading glasses I didn't know he owned and looks exhausted.

"Did you sleep at all?" I ask from the doorway.

He jumps slightly, then relaxes when he sees me. "A few hours. Couldn't turn my brain off."
