When I woke up, I rolled to the side of the bed. That was when I noticed the bed was kind of empty. I open my eyes halfway. Derek is not there.

“Derek…” I whispered, but there’s no faint sound from him. Could it be that he's in the bathroom? I sniff around. There’s no scent of him. But he’s a Lycan; most times he resists leaving his scent behind.
