Blade rushed out, his feet thudding softly against the floor as he made his way to the hidden spot where he and Lyra had last stashed the Primordial Book. They had made a habit of moving it constantly—never leaving it in one place for too long. Too dangerous. Too powerful. Too many prying eyes.

Unfortunately, one of those eyes belonged to Amelia.
