I took advantage of my free day and went to visit my dad in the hospital. As soon as I entered the room, a smile lit up his still-bruised face. I rushed to him and gave him a tight hug, hearing a groan of pain.

“Sorry, Dad… I think I squeezed too hard.”

“I love your bear hugs.” He smiled.

“When are you going home?”

“The doctor said I’ll be discharged by tomorrow. I can’t stand being here anymore.”
