When Ernest walked into the room, I immediately felt the air grow thin. It was incredibly hard for me to look at that man and not blame him. And the worst part wasn’t even about what happened in the past. For ten years, I’d convinced myself I hated him, that because of him, I’d lost Monica and the baby.
