Tracy looked at me with a smile. She didn't argue, she didn't feel annoyed at how I sounded.

Instead, she nodded and shrugged. Her lips pressed into a thin line. “I'm sorry. I didn't mean to—”

“Nothing to apologize for, Tracy.” I said slowly. “You care, and I'm grateful for that” A faint smile spread on my lips.
