I stayed on the porch, pacing around with my hand behind me as I waited for the boy to return.

The marketplace was right outside the castle gates. He didn't have a problem getting there and returning in good time.

His problem would arise when it came to picking the right gift.

But surprisingly the boy returned, thirty minutes later. His hands were bare as he ran at full speed toward me.
