CHAPTER 50: SAVED AGAIN

It was a hot and sunny afternoon and the time was just past noon. I would be seen anyway and whether I wore a mask or not, by now most of the Martinez Gang knew my body movement. I was not ready to change anything as far as I got the job done.

I got to the gang’s headquarters and this time it was heavily guarded. I asked Larry if he could see anywhere I could get in from. Larry confirmed that everywhere was tight unless I had to blow up something.

I was not ready to blow up anything because of the noise and the attention it would draw to me. I had to devise another means of getting in.

“How many men do we have ?” I asked Larry.

“I think about one hundred and twenty men but you know these guys. They can come at you from every corner.” Larry said.

“Is there any way we can get to know if Sancho is in there?” I asked.

“No way,” replied Larry.

“Okay, keep your eyes up. I need all the help I can get. I am going in” I said.

I saw one of the gang members coming out. I immediately went to him.

“I need to see Lisandro,” I said, pointing my gun at his head.

“You better drop that or do you think you can kill all five hundred men in the warehouse,” he said.

“Yes! I can kill all the One Hundred and twenty men inside if you don’t take me to Lisandro starting with you,” I said.

Larry spoke to me and told me that there were about eleven people who were held hostage in a room and that the place was heavily guarded. He suspected that Lisandro could be in one of the rooms that was heavily guarded.

“You see I don’t need you again and you are eleven short of One Hundred and Twenty,” I said as I shot him and the other three that were guarding the entrance.

“Please Larry, I need to get to the room where the hostages are,” I said. The afternoon was hot and quiet and you could hear the sound of my silencer as I shot four more Gang members.

“Okay, you have to go through the west. Lisandro has changed the setup of things in the building. When you get to the end of the warehouse, go upstairs. But I must warn you, it looks like they are waiting for you. They are all prepared,” Larry said.

I started moving toward the west wing of the warehouse, shooting every living thing in my way. I got to the stairs and met the men rushing downwards. I took out my machine gun and started shooting as I climbed the stairs.

I lost count of how many I had shot. I took my smoke cans and threw two cans down the passage. I counted four rooms. The number of rooms made it easy, unlike before.

One of the rooms will contain the hostages and the last is where Lisandro was. I got to the first room by crawling inside like a lizard. I stabbed the guard on both feet as he landed on his knees, and my knife landed on his jaw.

I got up to see Sancho and his family tied in chains and three other men with them.

“What took you so long?” Sancho asked.

“I am here, right?” I said.

“Who are these men?” I asked as I shot the chains binding him.

“They are men loyal to me,” he said.

I cut off everyone's chains myself as I wanted to be sure no one was with a weapon. I told Sancho to take the gun of the guard I killed. I also told him his family was coming with us. He wanted to object, saying his men would guard them, and I asked him with what?

I crawled out like a lizard under the smoke like I did before. Lisandro was not smart, five of his men were outside. I threw one can of flashlight at them and it blinded their vision instantly.

I and Sancho killed them all. Sancho beckoned his men and gave them the guns we retrieved from the dead men. He ordered one to stay with his family and the other to watch our backs. This was because Larry had warned me that some men were approaching our position in the building.

“I want to be the one to deal with Lisandro,” Sancho said, looking at me.

“I just want this job done, I am too tired of you all,” I said.

He laughed as he shot through the door. I threw another Canon flashlight in the room. We entered the room and shot all the men in the room except for Lisandro.

Sancho went to where the swords were kept, took one, and with one swing cut off Lisandro's head.

“I have wanted to do that for some time now, but the idiot has no shame he kidnapped my family,” he said.

He took the head of Lisandro and went downstairs as we shot every gang member on the way down. When he got down to the Warehouse, he raised the lifeless head up and told them in their language that they all knew that he was supposed to lead them.

Most of the men dropped their weapons, while about two of them did not and they were in front. They spoke something like he associated himself with a bitch to infiltrate the Gang.

I took out my gun and shot the two of them so swiftly that some of them opened their mouths in shock and amazement.

Sancho told them about how good I had been to him and how someone wanted him dead, but I rescued him. He told them that Lisandro had kidnapped his family and was going to kill them today if I had not rescued them.

Sancho then introduced me as the newest member. They all clapped. He told them that he had decided to give me a seat at the table because of my skills. There was a roar and some clapping. It was a sign that they agreed.

I went to him, knelt down, and received his blessings. He has made me a Table member and I will now sit in their council for every meeting. As I rose up, I whispered to him. “You know you owe me now.”

He smiled and nodded his head in confirmation. “Yes, Cassie, I do and I know it,” he whispered back, still smiling.

His wife and children came to greet me. His wife said, “Thank you so much. We can never repay you enough. I want to see you often. You have been good to Sancho.”

You will trust me, you will,’ I said.

With Lisandro gone, Sancho is now the Martinez Gang Leader, and I am a table member. My plan looked like it was working. I could be a force in this world and protect my Marvin now.

“Weldone Cassie, that was great, you did it,” I could hear Larry say over the earpiece. He sounded very happy.

“Larry, this is just one part of the puzzle we need to keep the plan moving,” I said.

“If you do not get a call from the Contractor, what will you do? Larry asked.

“If I do not get a call from the Contractor, I will take the next step. I now have the Martinez Gang by my side. It would be difficult to take me out,” I said.
