“Who called for the meeting Larry?” I asked as we made our way to the gang’s meeting. I was really feeling stressed but I was not ready to rest until I saw that I had accomplished all that we had planned.
“Sancho called. He sent you a text, Cassie. You need to be prepared. They may need to know what our next move is,” Larry said.
“We knew this was going to take place, they would want to know what is going on, after cutting ties with the Contractor, the Gang seriously needed a new source of income.
Though we had managed to meet expectations I had promised the Gang I was going to surpass what we doing when we had the Contractor on board with us.
We got to the warehouse and it was looking quite scanty as we approached the gates I could not see the men that I usually encounter outside the gates. I asked Larry to park by the side of the building. I was not comfortable with what I saw at the gate from a distance.
“I don’t like the feeling I am getting. Something is not right. The setting looks planned and the men at the gate don’t look like Gang members,” I said.
“How do you want us to proceed, we can just go in and start shooting everyone we need to be sure that we are not shooting our own men,” Larry said,
“Are you sure that Sancho called for this meeting?” I asked Larry once again.
“Yes, he called me and I got the same text you got, so the meeting was authentic, a call made by Sancho himself,” Larry said.
“Get out your gun now, put on the silencer, Get me the weapon package in the back seat please,” I said.
We got prepared and came down from the vehicle. Larry followed me his hands on the hip pouch of his gun. I walked with the sight of knives in play.
I was very certain that this was a setup. As we approached the gate, I spoke the Gang language and sign.
The first man at the gate nodded while his partner waved. I reached for my knife and swiftly both knives on one's chest and the other’s neck.
The one the knife hit his chest aimed his gun at me but Larry was as fast as ever, the bullet from his silencer piercing through the man’s skull.
I looked at Larry as we both nodded ‘They are wearing bulletproof vests,” I said.
“Surely we are under attack,’ Larry said.
“Put your phone in vibration, and let us go kill these idiots,” I said.
We went in from the front gate gunning every man we saw who was not supposed to be or acted weirdly. They got the picture and took formation and now we had to find a shield.
“Larry, we have to get to the hall upstairs before they flank us,” I said.
I made my way upstairs as we tried to find a way through. I saw the one giving the orders and it looked like they were professionals from another country. Well they had entered the wrong place and country.
Larry went to the west side where the warehouse had a storeroom, I could see how he maneuvered his way. One of the men cut him and from where I was I shot him.
Larry shot the other in his knee and I shot him in the head. Larry turned towards me and signaled he got it. And he broke the locks of the store and there we had about fifty men rounded up without weapons and without shirts.
They showed him where the weapons were and there was another round of shooting as he and two of the men made their way to the weaponry.
I climb the stairs shooting and stabbing everything that comes my way. I had to wait at the entrance of the hallway upstairs as I knew I could not enter the hall without seeing what was in front of me.
I needed backup but Larry was busy at that moment. When they got to the weaponry, they had lost one of the men with them. Larry signaled that I should give cover for them while the other men came out of the store and made their way as they went for the weaponry.
I took out the machine gun and started spraying our enemies without mercy and without stopping, because they had the guts to come into our country and into our headquarters. I wanted to let them know that we were not as easy as they thought.
We were now fortified with more men and more weapons. I signaled that some men should come upstairs to help me.
Larry was all covered in blood but he was still in good shape. He came up with some of the men and we made our way through the hallway, killing as much as we could.
One of the men shot me. I had thought he had missed me but when I checked my body, he shot me in my arm and, with that annoyance, I pounced on him. I could not count how many bullets from the machine gun had entered his body. Larry had to stop me.
By the time I stopped, I was covered in the man’s blood. And I did not care, I was so annoyed at their audacity or would I say at them for taking the job or undermining the gang. I was really angry and all this was written. the Contractor all over. He was really acting desperate. He wanted his control back and attacking the gang headquarters made more sense.
The leader came out with a gun pointed at Sancho. Before he could speak, my knife was at his neck and Larry’s bullet from his silencer pierced through his forehead.
“What took you all this while?’ Sancho said, looking at us.
The other members of the table came out of the room, some of them had been rough-handled by the attackers and were looking shuffled.
“Is everyone okay?” I asked.
There were heads of the head of the Table members. I looked back and asked the other men to look out for those that are wounded and get them treatment.
‘I will fine you for coming late,” Sacho said.
“I just saved your life and all you could think of was fining me,” I said.
Larry was bleeding and I tore his shirt in front of the table members as we all seated in our various positions. I looked at the cut it was just under his rib. Snacho brought some disinfectant, bandages, and magic powder for the wound.
I treated the wounds and placed the bandage around him to stop the bleeding while the other table members watched.
I tore my sleeves, took out a clean petal from the first aid box, removed the bullet in my arm, tied it, and sat down. The other members were standing up, including Sancho. At this time they only sat down when I did.
Sancho stood up and there was silence.” We all need to thank Cassie, she and Larry saved us again. Please table members join me in thanking Cassie and Larry,” he said.
One by one, each member of the table stood up, walked up to me, gave me a hug, and told me thank you and then they proceeded to Larry and did the same. It was quite pleasing to see that they have fully accepted us into the fold now.
Sanch ordered silence as he spoke without fear and with more conviction and authority.
“It is now a resolution of the Martinez Gang to declare that the Contractor is an enemy to the group. We have been attacked by him twice and there will not be another time. We will not play the defensive. I will discuss it with Cassie and we will come up with a plan immediately after now,” Sancho said.
All the table members clapped. They were pleased with the resolution. No one wanted to die. If the Contractor can do this we should be able to hurt him too.
I told them that we have businesses and the network and it was time we made up our minds to deal with what is a threat to all of us.
I told them we have the backing of the government and that everyone should look for police officers who we could influence, as that is what we need for now.
Alex and a few others dropped some names of high and low-ranking police officers we could talk to.
It’s time for war, I said to them. I also ask that our members be well-trained by Larry so that what happened today should not repeat itself. The Contractor almost took over the gang headquarters.
