Entering the Martinez Gang Headquarters, the room fell silent as all eyes turned towards me. Sancho, who is the current head of the gang, stood up, relief evident on his face.
"Cassie, we were worried," Sancho admitted, his concern reflecting in the eyes of the other members.
“What happened and where have you been. We could not carry on with out you when Larry told us you were indisposed,” Sancho said.
“Sancho do not worry about me I am fine. It will take more than pregnancy to hold me down,” I said, knowing that everyone was expecting to declare that I was pregnant so that I would not be made the leader of the Martinez Gang.
“It is the reason we want pregnant women to saty oout of business till they are ready,” Sancho said.
“And the men who got them pregnant?” I asked.
“It is a man’s world, Cassie. Any way we were worried about you,” Sancho said.
"I appreciate the concern, but we have a bigger problem," I began, looking around the table, "I was abducted this morning and Jasper, Rose's husband, was behind my abduction. He used to work for the Contractor, and we need to find out who he's working for now."
Sancho nodded, signaling for everyone to focus on the issue at hand. "We'll get to the bottom of this, Cassie. You can count on the gang."
“Don’t worry I will take care of it myself,” I said.
I glanced at Larry, silently acknowledging the support we had from the gang. It was time to unravel the mysteries surrounding Jasper's allegiance and the new threats we faced.
“It is okay, Cassie. I would love us to go to the issue of the day, the reason why we are here,” Sancho said.
Everyone nodded in affirmation. I had waited for this day all my life since when I knew I had to build an empire. What a formidable force to be at my disposal! I will create my network from mexico to the United Kingdom. I knew what to do and I was ready to do. I do not need Marvin and his money like I did before. I now have money influence and power and to crown it all I am a fearless assassin. The best at the game.
Sancho's announcement hung in the air, and the members of the Martinez Gang exchanged glances, processing the unexpected turn of events. The weight of the responsibility pressed on me, but I knew I had to step up.
"Thank you, Sancho," I addressed him with gratitude, acknowledging his years of leadership. "I'll do my best to lead the gang and ensure our safety."
Sancho nodded, offering a reassuring smile before slowly stepping back. The other members expressed their support, knowing that the transition marked a significant moment for the gang.
As the new head, I felt the weight of the gang's expectations, and the challenges ahead loomed large. It was time to lead, protect, and uncover the truths that threatened us.
Some of the members looked skeptical about my new position but because they knew how brutal I could be they were quiet. I knew I had my work cut out for me, I needed to reach out to these ones to sort our issues now that I am supreme leader.
Sancho waved his hand to me to take his seat as the Supreme Leader. He removed the ring of identification and placed on one of my fingers. He made me recite the oath of office and promise to protect the Gang and its business at all time.
In my first address as the new head of the Martinez Gang, I gathered the members around the table to outline my objectives. The atmosphere was tense, but I spoke with conviction.
"First and foremost, our unity is paramount. We've faced external threats, and it's crucial that we stand together to protect our interests," I began, emphasizing the need for solidarity.
"Secondly, we need to fortify our operations. I want each one of you to be well-prepared and skilled. Larry, I'll rely on your expertise to train and enhance our capabilities," I continued, addressing Larry directly.
"Lastly, we can't ignore the external forces that have been a constant threat. We need to gather intel, stay vigilant, and be ready to counter any move against us," I concluded, making it clear that we wouldn't be passive in the face of danger.
The members nodded in agreement, understanding the direction we needed to take. It was a new chapter for the Martinez Gang, and I was determined to lead with strength and cunning.
I knew that with what I have done for the gang some of the tables members had some faith in me and I was very eager to capitalize on that. I was not going to let any resistance stop me from achieving my goal.
I thanked Sancho for his integrity and loyalty to the gang. He is a good man. I told him that I will personally train his private guards and ensure that we build an befitting estate any where of his choice.
I immediately told the gang that with immediate effect, Larry is the deputy leader and the head of operations while the holding his post as the master trainer. Everyone clapped, everyone loved Larry, he was such a talent to have around.
Larry accompanied me to the safe house where I could gather my thoughts and plan the way forward for the Martinez Gang. As we settled in, I felt the weight of the responsibility that came with being the new head of the gang.
I reached for my phone and dialed Marvin's number. "Marvin," I began, "I need you to know that I've taken over as the head of the Martinez Gang. It's a challenging position, but I'm determined to lead and protect our interests."
There was a brief pause on the other end of the line, and then Marvin responded, "Cassie, I understand. Just be careful and make the decisions you need to. We'll support you however we can."
I thanked Marvin for his understanding, knowing that this shift in leadership might affect our dynamics. As the conversation ended, I turned to Larry, who had been silently observing. "We have work to do," I said, preparing for the challenges that lay ahead.
Larry asked me how I intended to run the company and the gang and I had to explain to him that I have June in charge I just need to watch her closely. It gave me a great concern. Larry's question about running both the company and the gang made me pause for a moment. It was a delicate balance, and I needed to strategize carefully to ensure the success of both endeavors. I looked at Larry, considering the challenges ahead.
"Larry," I began, "I've appointed June as the Managing Director of my company. She's competent, and I believe she can handle the responsibilities. However, I'll keep a close eye on her and the company's affairs. We need to maintain a strong front both in the business world and in the gang."
Larry nodded in agreement, understanding the need for vigilance. "It's a lot on your plate, Cassie, but we'll manage. What's the plan moving forward?"
I leaned back in my chair, contemplating the next steps. "Firstly, we need to find out who Jasper was working for. His connection to the contractor is troubling. We can't let this threat linger. Secondly, we should strengthen our ties with the other gangs and form alliances. Unity will be crucial in the coming times."
Larry nodded again, acknowledging the importance of those actions. "I'll get started on the investigation into Jasper's connections. As for the alliances, I'll reach out to contacts in the underworld. We need allies we can trust."
"Good," I said, appreciating Larry's proactive approach. "And keep an eye on the gang's operations. We can't afford any internal issues, especially with this change in leadership. Let the members know that we're still a force to be reckoned with."
As Larry left to carry out the tasks, I couldn't shake off the weight of the responsibility that came with leading both the gang and the business. The challenges were substantial, but I was determined to navigate them successfully.
