Elena’s POV

I returned to the dormitory the next morning. It was still how I left it, gloomy and almost unbothered. My corner was untouched, and my trunks were still locked, though dust had collected on it.

There was no one in the room currently, at least from what I saw in the empty room. A lot had happened while I was away, and I realized that I never even checked on Chloe all this while.

Had she been coming to school while serving in the palace? How was she coping?
