Halfway through the meal, Leo arrived.

He didn’t make a sound as he stepped into the private room, his presence as restrained as ever, as though he were merely part of the background rather than the person who handled Damien’s most sensitive affairs. He leaned slightly forward and spoke in a calm, neutral tone.

“They caught them,” he reported. “They said they noticed Miss Elena looked wealthy, so they developed bad intentions.”
