I witnessed conflicts. Witnessed victories. Witnessed the Covenant pursuing us across eras. Witnessed elderly women dropping individually, their strength taking their lives, cutting it short.

Saw my mother's death through her own eyes. Saw her final moments, holding a baby, holding me, and begging my father to keep me safe.

*Run* she panted. *Get her away, from this place. Allow her to be normal. Allow her to live freely.*
