“Let her go!"

Andrew’s voice rang out through the air, ragged and urgent. I struggled against the hold of Kael’s wolves, their claws digging into my arms enough to bruise.

“The trade is easy, Andrew.”

Kael’s hand clutched the nape of my neck, his touch possessive and freezing. “She goes with me, the girl lives, and your pack is safe. Everybody gets something they want.”
