Andy led me to Ken's office to eat. He already ordered a fried chicken salad and mashed potatoes. My mouth watered and my stomach grumbled in protest at the sight of it. Reminding me of my negligence to eat dinner yesterday and today I missed breakfast also.

I didn't miss Ken's incessant stare at me as I ate. He was engrossed in a conversation with Andy about Selene's present condition.

She was getting better according to him and the surgery site has started healing too. ...
