If Aurora sighed one more time, I was going to throw myself into the nearest fountain.

The princess was unbearable. She wasn’t cruel with claws and fangs; no, she was worse. Her cruelty was sweet, polished, almost delicate, like poison wrapped in sugar.

She smiled while making me redo her hair four times. She smiled when she dropped her goblet and told me to “be quicker next time.” She smiled when she said I looked clumsy and awkward in maid clothes.
