Scarlett's pov

"How is the pack faring?" Gary asked unhurriedly as he sipped his tea before placing the cup on the table.

"Everything is going smoothly, you would have known if anything was amiss," Silas announced and Gary's eyes darted from Silas to me.

"Yet I was unaware you had welcomed a rogue into your pack," Gary commented and I winced as I noticed Silas' nostrils flared in annoyance.

"I didn't welcome her-" Silas began.

"Some pack members found her by the river barely alive ...
