I stared at Silas's still form on the bed, and different emotions surged. I let out a loud sigh as my hand slowly rose and hovered over his face for a moment.

I gently caressed his face, my finger trailing along his features as I leisurely stared at him without the heat of his gaze on me. I closed my eyes and looked away from Silas as his pain-struck face flashed into my mind as the arrow pierced through his chest.
