I quickly changed my dress and put on a jumpsuit.
I did light makeup and decided not to use any perfume. I applied lip gloss and wore several earrings.
Yeah, I have four piercings on each ear, and I even added some to my nose too.
Well, I still had some accessories left because I didn’t really use them. What did I even need them for?
I wore sandals, a face cap, and a nose mask.
“I think I’m good to go,” I muttered to myself. I knew I would get more things at the shopping mall, but first impressions mattered. And I wasn’t sure whether Caroline liked me or not.
After I was done, I picked up my phone and followed the address she sent me.
Of course, it turned out to be the Royal Shopping mall, owned by the Queen herself.
There was a waterfall in the large compound, and the floor was tiled in different colorful patterns.
Never in my life did I think I would ever visit this place. But now, here I was.
The shopping mall was a three-story building adorned in gold and elaborate designs.
There was even a mini arcade right beside the main building.
I was sure only billionaires or maybe even trillionaires were allowed to shop here.
The garage was full of expensive cars: Bugatti, Lamborghini, and even some I couldn’t recognize.
I watched people passing by, all dressed in the latest designer outfits. I felt awkward. I didn’t belong here.
The buzzing of my phone pulled me out of my trance. I quickly picked it up.
It was a message from Caroline. Oh gosh, how could I have forgotten what I came here for?
“Miss Calista, are you the one wearing a white jumpsuit with a face cap?” she asked.
I almost lost my balance.
How did she know it was me?
“What? Is my disguise not perfect? How did you know it was me?” I texted back.
“You’re the only one staring so intensely at the supermarket building,” she replied.
I bit my lips in embarrassment. True to her words, some people were already looking at me strangely. I just hoped the guards wouldn’t come drag me away.
“I’m sorry. Where are you?” I typed.
“Beside the red Bugatti, wearing a white shirt dress,” she replied.
I scanned the garage and, true to her words, I spotted her.
She was wearing a very short dress that barely covered her thighs, paired with high-heeled boots.
Okay, enough staring before she thought I was a freak.
I quickly rushed toward her and smiled. She gave my outfit a scrutinizing look before flashing me a fake smile.
“Nice meeting you, Miss Calista.”
“Just call me Calista,” I replied.
“Then call me Caroline,” she said, finally giving me a real smile.
“Please follow me,” she added, and I nodded with a smile.
Following her into the shopping mall, I thought about it carefully. If this were a normal job, maybe no one would care how I dressed or behaved. But as the Prince’s personal assistant, I had to look presentable.
And I couldn’t afford to make mistakes.
Gosh, how tiring. Wait… who was I kidding? I wanted this life.
As long as money was involved, then I was interested.
The interior of the shopping mall was fascinating, but I tried not to stare too much before Caroline started thinking I was a poor girl.
Oh wait—I am poor. Gosh.
The cold AC hit me, and I tried not to let out a moan.
She led me to an area filled with designs and mannequins.
“You can take anything, Calista,” she said with a smile, then sat down and crossed her legs.
Wait… how was I supposed to choose? Wasn’t she supposed to help me?
I was still wondering when two sales reps came over and started showing me corporate and beautiful dresses suitable for a personal assistant.
After we had picked out all the clothes I would need, along with makeup kits, I was taken to a dressing room.
They helped me into a beautiful long skirt paired with an off-shoulder blouse.
Then they handed me some heels, dolled up my face, and sprayed perfume all over me.
The scent was heavenly nothing like the cheap one I had at home.
One of them advised me to let my hair fall freely.
They massaged it with conditioning cream, added hair clips, styled it carefully, and it reached all the way to my waist. I have a long hair but I usually tie it up
The skirt really highlighted my curves, and I hoped the Prince wouldn’t think I was trying to seduce him or something because that was definitely not on my list.
I looked at myself in the mirror and gasped. Was this really me?
Woah. I looked like a Barbie doll.
They escorted me back to Caroline, who was still on her phone while the AC blew her short dress.
Seriously, someone should tell this girl to cover up.
She looked up and froze in surprise.
“Oh my, you look really beautiful, Calista,” she complimented.
I flashed her my signature smirk.
Her eyes flicked to my curves, and I saw a hint of jealousy, though she quickly covered it with a smile.
“Thanks,” I finally responded, then put my disguise back on.
We left the shopping mall and walked toward the Bugatti, with the salesgirls trailing behind us, holding several shopping bags.
Was this how it felt to be rich? Gosh… I felt like a queen.
They loaded everything into the trunk, waved at us, and left.
The driver started the car.
“Urm… where are we going to?” I asked.
“His Highness’s mansion,” Caroline replied, still staring at her phone.
Her response made me gasp. What about my little house?
“Oh, but I still have some things to take from my house,” I said quickly.
“That little hole?” she muttered before clapping a hand over her mouth.
I laughed. At least she was honest enough, but how did they even know where my house is located at?
They even took my stuffs and I myself wasn't notified? How jerky of their prince
“I’m sorry,” she added quickly. “But some guards have already gone there to collect your useful items and take them to His Highness’s mansion.”
I was glad she didn’t say palace. At least the Prince had his own house.
“Oh, okay,” I said, battling with my thoughts.
This was really happening.
I was going to meet the mighty, badass Prince
