The heavy door to Dante’s office shut with a quiet click behind Luca.

He sauntered in like he owned the place, flopping into one of the leather chairs across from Dante’s desk and propping an ankle over his knee.

Dante stood by the bar cart, pouring himself a glass of scotch. He didn’t offer Luca one.

“I’ll ask again,” Dante said, voice cool. “Why are you here?”
