Jarrod's POV:

"Two years," I hear her say from the kitchen.

Her voice is quiet and shaky. Her phone rings but she ignores it. It's probably Aurora or Nathan checking in to see how it went with DS Kentley. She looks lost.

"Two years."

Looking around the room, I search for her phone. It's on the coffee table. A quick look at the screen tells me that it's her brother.

"Your brother is calling you."

"Huh?" She turns to look at me. "Oh. Okay."
