I had the table set with candles, glasses, and her favorite meal before she came downstairs.

The lighting was cool and the music was calm.

I stood back and looked at it for a second. It looked like a husband who was trying.

That was exactly what it needed to look like.

I heard her on the stairs and I moved to my chair and sat down. I was reaching for my glass when she walked in.
