Ava’s POV

I spun around, I didn't see anything, I quickly covered my mouth so I wouldn’t yell out.

“Where are you? Please, where are you?” I stood there, frozen, listening and hoping.

I stayed there searching but found nothing, just shadows. Must have been a trap.

I wiped my face with the back of my sleeve, and walked quickly out the empty alley.

The triplets' school pickup time was coming up, I had to get to them.

They were the only thing keeping me from falling apart completely ...
