I'd made a deal with the devil, they always said, but honestly, I wasn't one to believe them. I always thought that the right thing to do, was to make background checks about whoever you were going into business with. It was only common sense. That way, not only would you know more about your business partner, it could also provide you some sort of leverage over them.
