The annoyed look on her face disappears completely before I can think much about it, and she mutters with a grumble;

“We were told---------”

“You were told to deliver them,” Nyall utters from behind her, stepping out from the corridor, his voice deadly quiet.

As they part way for him, he walks past them and into the room, greeting me with the view of him in a pale shirt, dark vest and his hands tucked behind his back.
