Council Intrigue

The Grand Council chamber was older than most of the wolves in it. Stone walls carved with pack histories going back centuries. Seats arranged in a circle so no one could claim superiority. And in the center, a raised platform where the accused stood to answer for their crimes.

I'd never stood on that platform before. Never needed to.
