I stay in my seat, staring down at my notebook and pretending to organize my papers. Maybe if I look busy enough, Luna will give up and leave. But I can hear her footsteps getting closer, and I know she's not going anywhere.

My heart starts beating faster as I realize there's no way to avoid this conversation. I've been dodging her messages all morning, and now she's here in person. I can't exactly pretend I don't see her when she's standing right next to my desk.
