Luna’s POV

I wake up slowly, my consciousness returning gradually like emerging from deep water. The first thing I notice is that I’m lying in a soft, comfortable bed instead of chained to a cold stone floor. The relief that washes over me is so intense it almost brings tears to my eyes.

The second thing I notice is the warm, familiar presence of people sitting nearby. My heart immediately begins to calm from the rapid, fearful beating it’s maintained since I was kidnapped.
