I’m busy pulling on my protective gloves and getting my gear ready for the game when Cassie walks up to me with a concerned expression on her face.

“Alex, have you seen Luna anywhere?” she asks, looking around the preparation area.

I shake my head while adjusting my gloves. “No, I haven’t seen her for a while. She’s probably just in the bathroom or maybe getting some fresh air before the game starts.”
