I pull out my phone and call Cassie. My mind feels like it's drowning in thoughts, and I need someone to throw me a lifeline.

"Hey, Luna," she answers on the second ring. "You sound stressed."

"I am," I admit, pressing the phone closer to my ear. "Can we meet up? I need to talk to someone."

"Of course. Meet me at the Neon Nights—you know, that casino place all the campus kids go to. You need to unwind, and you have to fill me in on what Jaxton said."
