Chapter 4- The Devil's son

Samantha's POV:

Frank and I strangely became the best of friends.

He was the demon lord's son, the master of mischief and lies. He was very powerful, cunning, charming, and dangerously friendly.

He was in the fourth tier, the most powerful category of demons.

He had massive demon warriors at his call and was a member of the sacred council.

It wasn't hard to see why he earned the title of the Prince of Hell: master of mischief, deceit, and chaos.

Under his guidance, I was able to tap into my powers, discovering new abilities and skills. He taught me how to control my emotions, channeling all my anger and bitterness into raw, potent dark magic.

He showed me how to summon dark energies, wield shadowy illusions, and twist truth into lies.

I became colder, more calculating, and ruthless.

I no longer hesitated, no longer forgave.

Frank was proud to see me become heartless, and he nurtured that darkness.

Together, we fought many battles, tore down strongholds, and left destruction in our wake.

I found comfort in doing evil, and demons feared me.

I had numerous enemies, but I strongly obeyed Frank's everyday slogan: “Never let your enemy live.”

I battled twelve-headed demons, vampires, witches, warlocks, and enchanters and came out victorious. Pain never broke me; it fueled me.

In no time, I was given the title ‘Princess of Hell.’

I became ice, no longer ruled by my feelings. I had harnessed them, turning them into weapons.

That was why I never saw Frank the way the old me might have.

I might have fallen for his charm once. But now? He was my brother and mentor, nothing more.

I swore an oath of loyalty to Hell and rose to the second tier, the level of demonic manipulation.

The demon Lord told me that a time would come when I would lead the earth demons back to hell as part of my job, but I dismissed it.

My only oath was to never fall in love and to rip out Kelvin's heart with my hands.

~A year later~

After a successful bloody mission, I walked up to the demon lord.

My eyes burned like fire, and my heart was consumed in dark rage.

“I am ready to go back to earth!” I thundered, not bothering to greet him.

One important lesson Hell had burned into me was that greetings made you look weak and pathetic.

The demon lord was seated on his great throne, surrounded by hundreds of demonesses trying to seduce him to sleep with them.

Some of them scoffed at seeing me, jealousy and envy evident in their eyes.

“Who dares to disturb me without greeting?!” He thundered, turning his burning eyes to meet mine.

An ordinary demon would have dropped dead from the demon lord's glare. But I stared back at him with an equally intense gaze.

“Ouch,” he whined, pretending to be hurt. “It's my lovely princess.”

“Hail, master,” I said flatly. “I demand to go back to earth. I have a mission to fulfill, and I won't come back until Alpha Kelvin's heart is between my teeth.” I swore, my eyes cold and my soul lifeless. I had lost my sanity, and the gentle soul of yesterday had turned into a dark mist, ready to devour both the sinner and the saint.

“You still have a lot to learn,Samantha. You are not yet strong enough.” The demon lord replied, turning to face Lyra, who had just entered.

“Master, I think she is ready to face your enemy.” Lyra said, grimacing, but quickly corrected herself, “Her enemy, I mean.”

I paid little attention to the nervousness in her voice and looked up at the demon lord. “With or without your consent, I will escape from here and return to earth. My soul is not at rest until I destroy the werewolves!” My voice was bitter as I remembered how I was maltreated and betrayed.

The demon lord stared at me in silence for a while, then a wide grin appeared on his face.

“Dracula,” he said, rising from his throne and walking towards me with an outstretched hand.

I've heard many demons mention his name, but this was the first time I was hearing it directly from him.

I hesitated for a moment, staring at his outstretched hand. After a while, I firmly clasped his hands, grinning. “Samantha.”

As our hands touched, I felt a surge of energy, and a cold sensation descended upon me.

“We are now connected by blood, flesh, and power,” Dracula declared, releasing my hand. “Lyra will prepare you. Note that once you pass through the gates of Hell, you will be transported to Alpha Kelvin's pack. But know this: everything has changed.”

“How do you mean?” I asked with curiosity.

“We are in an alternate timeline with Earth. Time moves faster there. He will not be the same, and his family will be gone. No one will recognize you, not even him nor any members of his pack. This will make your mission very easy. Sneak in like a maid, and keep me updated every day,” he said, turning to walk back into the arms of the slutty demonesses.

“Lastly, his name is now Alpha Ken, no longer Kelvin.” the demon lord announced with a smirk I failed to notice.

‘Alpha Ken?’

 I scoffed.

The change of name didn't bother me; I was only glad that I was now finally going to get my revenge.

I nodded in approval and felt happy, thinking I was going back to my ex-lover's pack.

But I didn't know that I was heading to a place destined to bring about my downfall.

*********

“I am ready to leave,” I told the figure behind me, my voice solemn.

I carried no bags, only a gown that would help me blend in perfectly.

“Okay,” Frank said, stepping closer. He gripped my shoulders and stared deep into my eyes. “Weakness begins when you pity your enemy and fail to strike at the right time. Remember Samantha, it's either you kill or you get killed.” He said with a crooked smile on his face, "If you ever feel threatened, don't cry. Tears make you weak. Kill or summon demons. I'll never stop thinking about you. And I'll always check on you when I can.” He promised, like the brother I never had.

The former me would have burst into tears, but the new me just scoffed at him.

“What the hell are you doing sounding like a weakling? Don't you know pity and love are for the weak?” I hissed, disgusted by his sudden softness.

Frank burst into laughter, clapping his hands joyfully. “Yes! You are ready!”

We both laughed at his words, and with one final nod, I left hell, riding on a black stallion.

I was unsure of what the outside world held for me, but I was ready to kill if I needed to.

I was ready to destroy any Alpha, human, or wolf that stood in my path.

But if only I'd known what Dracula was planning behind my back…

I might never have begged for reincarnation.
