The moment Nyra’s wolf screamed out, everything went still. Her voice, the silence that followed after, the looks on everyone’s faces

My chest felt tight as I watched her fall. I wanted to run to her, to hold her, to tell everyone to shut the hell up — but I couldn’t move. I couldn’t even breathe.
