As an actor by profession, I’d become adept at staging, knowing where to stand and toward what direction to speak. On the stage, the same space could morph into multiple settings. In the opening scene we could appear to be walking on a street in New York, the Empire State Building glowing in the background. That was all it took, one instantly recognizable element to transport the audience without a verbal cue.
