Roman

Before reporting to King Theodore, I decided to make a trip to the infirmary. Francis’s new room on the main level was large, away from the examination rooms, and with a view of the gardens. He had all the comforts of a royal hospital.

I didn’t intend to visit my brother-in-law. My attention was set on the guard at the end of the corridor.

“Your Highness,” he said with a neck bow.

I nodded.
