"An ally," the boy replied simply but his answer didn't satisfy me at all.

“An ally?” I crossed my arms and stared at him suspiciously, “What do you mean by that?”

“It's just as I said, I'm a friend or support—”

“I know what an ally is,” I cut off. “What I meant is that I don't even know you, why did you help me? And how did you get everyone to believe that lie so easily?"
